Terms & Conditions

GENERAL

The Management reserves the right to refuse admission or request any ticket holder to leave the theatre and take appropriate action to enforce this right, to change the advertised programme or casting of any performance without notification, and to provide alternative seats to those purchased of the same or greater value.  If you encounter any problems at a show, please let one of our Duty Managers know immediately and they will endeavour to rectify the problem.

Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.

The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre is a strictly no smoking building.

Ticket holders consent to the recording and filming of themselves as audience members.

Tickets cannot be sold or offered for sale by customers from The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre premises except from the Box Office.  Only tickets purchased from our Box Office or our approved agents are valid for admission.  Reselling a ticket for profit or commercial gain makes it void and the ticket holder may be refused entry.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MOBILE PHONES

The use of photography and filming is strictly prohibited within the auditorium during events unless otherwise instructed. Failure to comply with this request could result in you being asked to leave without a refund from the venue.  The venue also reserves the right to request you to delete any images or film taken.

All mobile phones, watch alarms and pagers must be switched off prior to entering the auditorium.

LATE ARRIVALS

Every effort will be made to admit latecomers as soon as a suitable break in the show occurs, but admission is not guaranteed.

WARNINGS

Special effects such as strobe lighting and haze may be included in a performance. Notices will be posted front of house on the night of the show regarding any such effects. Anyone who is likely to be affected by any type of special effect should check with box office at the time of booking.

EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS

Tickets are sold subject to availability and are non-refundable once purchased. Where an event has sold out we will endeavour to sell unwanted tickets, up to 24 hours before the event, on the understanding that a Gift Voucher to the value of the tickets (excluding transaction fees) will be supplied upon resale.  In certain circumstances (and at the Duty Manager’s discretion) we may be able to exchange tickets within the same production provided we have 24 hours’ notice on the understanding that an admin charge of £1 per ticket will apply.

BABES IN ARMS POLICY

Our Babes in Arms Policy applies for infants aged two years or under. Such infants should be accommodated on a parents’ or guardians’ lap. Unless otherwise stated for a performance, no charge will be made.  Parents are reminded that some performances are not suitable for young children.

For children aged two and over standard ticket prices and possible concessions will apply, and a seat will be allocated.

Children under the age of 12 will not be permitted to attend shows, workshops or events without an adult, unless otherwise stated.

PAYMENTS

Payments can be made in cash (if buying in person) or the following credit and debit cards – Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta, Maestro, Electron and Solo.  Tickets booked through the Box Office will be held care of the Box Office and may be collected on presentation of the Debit/Credit Card used to make your booking.

We do not accept personal cheques except for group bookings. Tickets paid for by cheque will not be released until payment has cleared.

BOOKING FEE

All tickets are subject to a £1 transaction fee, excluding Loyal Friends and Royal Members.  It is applicable per-ticket and not per-booking.

It is to support the running costs of The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre.  As ticket revenue is divided between many different parties, an increase in ticket prices may not necessarily benefit the theatre.  By adding a small transaction charge, we ensure every penny goes directly to The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre.

DISCOUNTS AND CONCESSIONS

Patrons must state discounts they are entitled to at the time of booking, as they cannot be applied retrospectively.

The management reserves the right to introduce discounts and other price changes without notice. Discounts and special offers may be limited or subject to availability.  Concessionary rates do vary according to performance, so please check with the ticket office when booking.

CARERS POLICY

The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre is committed to ensuring fair access for all. If a customer requires the assistance of a Carer or Personal Assistant to enable them to watch a performance, then the Carer ticket will be issued free of charge (subject to availability).

To help provide clarification, the following examples are designed to assist with understanding, although cannot cover all situations.

  • If a customer attends performances alone sometimes and with a companion at other times, then this would suggest that they do not require the services of a Carer or Personal Assistant and therefore a Complimentary ticket should not be issued. However, consideration must be given to the fact that the disabled customer may need more assistance at certain times, depending on the nature of their disability or illness.
  • If a customer needs the support of a Carer or Personal Assistant to get around or provide guidance, then it would be appropriate for a Complimentary Ticket to be issued.
  • If a customer is able to cope independently but cannot drive, this would not normally entitle the driver to a complimentary Carer ticket.
