Have you got stories you want to share? Memories to capture in words? Snapshots from your life history that deserve to be put on the page and offered to your children, grandchildren, the world?
In this 2 hour workshop you’ll be guided to get hold of a memory or experience from your life and find out how to find the words to shape your story into a piece of writing that carries emotional truth and weight. You’ll experiment with:
* using objects as a way into memoir
* ways to include all the sensory details that bring a story to life
* writing dialogue that is convincing and enlivening
* structuring your story so that it has a pleasing rhythm and pace
* sharing your story with others.
This session is ideal for beginners and will also suit those who are looking to try memoir on for size.
You’ll be held in a safe and supportive space where you can write whatever is true for you. Join us!
