Led by experienced thriller writer, Jeff Dowson, this workshop will introduce you to the essential elements of crafting compelling crime narratives. From creating intriguing characters and developing suspenseful plots to building atmospheric settings and crafting memorable twists, you’ll learn the foundational techniques that form the backbone of successful crime fiction. Although Bristol is his adopted city, Jeff was born and brought up in Northeast England, and is a screenwriter, TV Producer/Director, and novelist. He currently has six thrillers published by Diamond Crime Four in a contemporary series featuring Bristol private eye Jack Shepherd – “Closing the Distance”, “Changing the Odds”, “Cloning the Hate” and “Bending the Rules” And two in a developing series featuring American GI ED Grover – “One Fight at a Time” and “New Friends Old Enemies, set in Bristol during the years following World War 2. Jeff is a member of BAFTA and the Crime Writers Association.
