Learn how mindfulness can help you to deeply focus on issues or transport yourself to past experiences by anchoring in the present. Penny will guide you in methods to immerse yourself in the now, allowing you to release your creativity.
These approaches can bring great clarity of thought and reflection to your work. Mindfulness exercised through creative writing enhances mood, reduces anxiety, boosts wellbeing and lifts confidence. And it’s fun!

Whether you currently write or haven’t done so in a long time, come along and discover some thought-provoking and inspiring ideas – Penny will guide you through a variety of enjoyable exercises. No previous experience necessary.
Penny McPherson
Penny McPherson was inspired to write her debut novel, The Colours of the Sky, when living on the Isle of Skye. Published in 2024, it’s set against the backdrop of life on the island in the 1800’s. With a degree in Education, Psychology and Environment, and a background in teaching refugees and young people, Penny has a special interest in how environment and background impacts our lives.
