Somerset is packed with talent! Come along and hear from emerging writers from Burnham and beyond. This session is an informal chat between our local writers as they discuss what they’re working on, the things that inspire them and the challenges of putting pen to page.
Andrew Claydon
Andrew is a Fantasy Author who lives in Bridgwater. An avid reader with a passion for world-building, he has created the Chronicles of the Dawnblade. In his spare time, Andrew plays Warhammer 40,000. He has a degree in both History and Psychology and Black Belts in several martial arts styles.
Anne Parsons
Anne started her working career as a teacher+ and then moved into the business world and local government. More recently, she has retired and now spends her time writing for children and undertaking voluntary work. She feels passionate about children learning to read at a young age. She has been a Governor at a local primary school and regularly helps children with their reading.
Christine Seddon-Kaye
Christine grew up near Manchester before leaving her job in a bank to become part of a cabaret duo with her best friend. This led her to Somerset and she’s been here ever since. A mother to three grown-up children, she spent twenty years working in the holiday park industry before leaving to spend more time in her beloved Kenya. She’s a published poet and has previously written articles for magazines. The Other Mrs Trippett is her debut novel.
