We are all in need of lifting our spirits, having a good old sing song and a really good laugh. If that sounds like a good idea, then this is the show for you!
On the 8th May 1945, millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace and to look forward to a brighter future. This show brings you the songs heard at those parties, songs that won the war, good old fashioned
sing-alongs and beautiful ballads.
The show includes a tribute to the late Dame Vera Lynn, the Nation’s Sweetheart, with songs including, When the Lights Go on Again , Lili Marlene, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, I’ll Be Seeing You, and, of course, The White Cliffs of Dover and We’ll Meet Again.
You can ‘Meet The Gang’ as we take you back to the ENSA concert party days, with songs and fun from Arthur Askey, Gracie Fields and Flanagan and Allen to name a few.
There is a good old fashioned knees up where you can sing-along to ‘Roll Out the Barrel’, ‘Side by Side’, ‘Knees Up Mother Brown’ and ‘Lambeth Walk’, amongst others. You will be taken back to the sounds of the Andrew Sisters and Glen Miller in our American section with our fabulous dancers
tapping and jiving!
