Have you seen The Nornen?
The shipwreck at Berrow?
Have you heard the stories?
The Nornen Project is producing “All Hands!”, a new show about… well, The Nornen, the shipwreck off Berrow Beach. Alongside the show, we’re running a whole host of Nornen-inspired workshops and we’re bringing in the big guns.
Award-winning Designer Sam Wilde will give you a taste of what it’s like to design for the stage, as well as a sneak peek at the custom-built stage for our own production of “All Hands!”. From model-box to the real deal, you’ll find out what goes into making a stage from scratch.
Learn how to begin designing your own stage, from inspiration to creation, and sketch out your own ideas. No experience necessary, just a sense of curiosity and a splash of imagination.
Thanks to our funders, we are able to offer support with transport, British Sign Language Interpreters, food and more for our activities. Please contact [email protected] to discuss anything that you need to be able to take part.
Funders: National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England, Somerset Community Foundation, Hinkley Point C Community Fund, Burnham-on-Sea & Highbridge Town Council and Sedgemoor District Council.
